Irene Caldwell

Irene Furr Caldwell, 87, of Albemarle, passed away Sunday, June 13, 2021 at her home.

Irene was born August 24, 1933 in Stanly County to the late Millard Hubert Furr and the late Tina Louise Furr.

She was also preceded in death by brothers, Robert Vernon Furr, Roy Davis Furr, and Dave Lincoln Furr; sisters, Ola Mae Harkey, Annie Belle Almond, and Ruby Lee Furr.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 16, 2021 from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm at Bear Creek Primitive Baptist Church with the funeral service to follow, officiated by Rev. Ralph Dale. Burial will follow at the Bear Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery at 22182 Canton Rd., Albemarle.

Survivors include loving husband of almost 64 years, J P Caldwell of Albemarle; sons, Kenneth (Kim) Caldwell and Joel (Laura) Caldwell; brother, Coy Ray Furr; sisters, Brenda Walker, Christine Drye, Lillian Dellinger, and Betty Jean Furr; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
