Irene C. Warren, peacefully passed away in her sleep on January 16, 2025. Irene was born in Palmer, Massachusetts on January 24, 1938 to John and Anna Kloczkowska Szuba. In addition to her parents, Irene was predeceased by the love of her life, her husband of 58 years, Ronald K. Warren in 2016, her brother and sister-in-law John and Eleanor Szuba; her sisters and brothers-in-law Joan and Daniel Gentile and Helena and James Martone; and son-in-law Wayne Tisdale. Irene is survived by her daughters: Kathy Tisdale, Kingstree, SC, Sherry (Chris) Hardison, Oak Island, NC, and Sue (Jeff) Morrison, Myrtle Beach, SC; her grandchildren Kristina (Brian) Nance, Mooresville, NC, Ryan (Ashton) Tisdale, Blythewood, SC, Meagan (Pressley) Best, Columbia, SC, Brittney Morrison, Durham, NC, and Michael Hardison, Raleigh, NC; her great grandchildren Luke and River Tisdale, and Carter Best; and many nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews.
As a first-generation child of Polish parents, her father moved the family from Massachusetts to Binghamton, NY where upon graduation from Binghamton Central High School, Irene worked in the business office of Olum’s furniture store until she married and took the job she was most proud of - being a devoted wife and mother to her daughters. After moving to Endicott, NY she assisted with Girl Scouts, was a room mother at the elementary school, and a proud Band Booster of the Union Endicott High School Marching Band where all three daughters were members.
Once her daughters graduated high school, the family transferred to Concord, NC as part of the establishment of IBM in Charlotte, NC. Irene became the Playschool teacher with 3-4-year-olds for Cabarrus County Parks and Rec Department in Concord for the next 20 years until her grandchildren became the new loves of her life.
After the passing of her husband, Irene moved to the Myrtle Beach area to live closer to her daughters. She loved baking, sewing, listening to polka music, watching NASCAR races on Sunday afternoons with her husband, and being with family. She was proud of each of her children and grandchildren and was looking forward to the addition of a great granddaughter this spring.
