Iris Crayton

Iris Mae Calloway Crayton, 92, of Concord, NC passed away Friday, February 17, 2023 at Five Oaks Manor in Concord.

Iris was born April 20, 1930 in Concord, NC to the late Shelly Purdue Calloway and the late Ruby Fink Calloway.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lawson Leander Crayton, Jr.; great grandson, Mark Carter, Jr.; brother, Bobby Calloway, and sister, Betty Freeze.

She is survived by two sons, Ronnie Crayton of Myrtle Beach, SC; Shelly Crayton of Myrtle Beach, SC; sister, Mary Catherine Donahue of Clemson, SC; granddaughters, Leslie Carter (Joe) of Locust, NC; Janie Wilson (Chris) of Winston-Salem, NC; Sarah Crayton of Archdale, NC; and great grandchildren, Tyler Carter of Frog Pond, NC; Jacob Wilson of Winston-Salem, NC; Blake Wilson of Winston-Salem, NC; great great grandchildren, Gianna Whitley of Locust, NC; Hailey Carter of Locust, NC; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm, Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord, 460 Branchview Dr., Concord, NC 28025.  The funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel of Concord.  Burial will take place at Mission Baptist Church Cemetery in Locust, NC.
