Iris Simpson

Iris Jean Simpson, age 73, of 525 Watts Street, Albemarle, passed away February 19, 2010. She was born on November 10, 1936 to the late Frank C. Love and Letha Brewer Love in Stanfield, NC. She is survived by her son Jesse Lee Simpson, Locust, son Robert Adam Simpson, Albemarle, son Ronnie Eugene Simpson, Albemarle, sister Patricia Gayle Hinson, Oakboro, sister Geraldine Vega, Stanfield, and three grandchildren; Chasity, Allen and Cory. She is also preceded in death by her husband Jesse Adam Simpson and sister Judy Sherrill Love. A visitation will be held Sunday, Feb. 21 at 1:00 PM with the service beginning at 2:00 at Hartsell Funeral Home - Albemarle. The Rev. Kelly Crisco is officiating the service. Interment is at Rehobeth Cemetery in Aquadale, NC. Memorials may be made to Calvary Chapel, 20334 Old Concord Rd., Albemarle, NC 28001. Jean worked in the Dye House for Wiscassett Mills. Jean's love was crocheting, and she had a booth at the Stanfield Craft Show since it began. Her specialty was angels. She was a member of the Calvary Chapel in Albemarle.
