Isaac Dexter

Isaac Louis Dexter, 80, of Mount Gilead, NC, passed away peacefully surrounded by family Saturday, February 19, 2022.

Isaac was born September 25, 1941 in Samburg, Tennessee to the late James Marion Dexter and the late Audrey Faye Reed Dexter. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Marjorie Caksackkar, and Nadine Mitchell; and brothers, Jack Dexter, and Harvie Dexter.

Isaac loved to golf and watch the University of Tennessee play football. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren on the lake. He also enjoyed having cookouts with the family.

The family will have a memorial service officiated by Rev. Don Burleyson  at 3:00 pm, Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel in Albemarle, 522 North 2nd Street Albemarle, NC 28001.

Survivors include his loving wife of 56 years, Sandra Dexter of Mount Gilead, NC, sons, Michael (Melissa) Dexter of Lincolnton,NC, and Scott (Tracey) Dexter of Lincolnton, NC; grandchildren, Nikki (Aaron) Senter, Hunter (Florence Bunce) Dexter, Peyton (Mary Field) Dexter, Lindsay Dexter, Greyson Clawson, Madison Dexter, and Lauren Dexter; great-granddaugter, Aubrey Senter; and many cherished nieces and nephews.
