Issac Ferguson

Mr. Issac (Ike) Bernard Ferguson, 81, died May 17, 2017 at Carolinas HealthCare System NorthEast in Concord.

Issac was born May 18, 1935 in Mecklenburg County to the late Issac Otto Ferguson and Cora Pauline Furr Ferguson. He was also preceded in death by his son-in-law, Donny Oxendine; sister, Virginia Gibson; and brothers, Gerald, Lowell and Boyd Ferguson.

He was a retired Bakery Supervisor at Lance in Charlotte, for 42 years.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Thursday May 18, 2017 at Hartsell Funeral Home in Midland. The funeral service will be held on Friday May 19, 2017 at 1:00 pm in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel at Midland, officiated by Rev. Bruce League. Burial will follow in the First Baptist Church of Stanfield Cemetery, 200 Hwy. 200 North, Stanfield.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary Josephine Hartsell Ferguson; daughter, Melinda Ferguson Oxendine of Stanfield; son Jimmy Ferguson and wife, Sandy of Oakboro; grandsons, Jacob Oxendine of High Point, and James Ferguson of Oakboro; granddaughters, Renatta Oxendine of Stanfield, and Aubrey Ferguson of Oakboro; and brothers, Lane Ferguson and wife, Myra of Mt. Rest, SC, and Joe Ferguson of Stanfield.
