J. Hartsell

J. Lee Hartsell, age 87, of Midland, N.C., died Monday, July 20, 2009, at Presbyterian Hospital-Matthews in Matthews, N.C. He was born February 8, 1922 in Union County, NC. Mr. Hartsell was employed by General Time, Inc. as a supervisor and retired in 1984. He was a member of Mill Grove United Methodist Church where he was a Sunday School teacher for 25 years. He served in the US Army. There will be graveside Military Rites by Stanly County Chapter 12 DAV. He was the son of the late James Thomas Hartsell and the late Mary Frances (Dorton) Hartsell. He was also preceded in death by an infant son, Alvin Thomas Hartsell. He is also survived by his wife Evelyn (Furr) Hartsell of the home. Son-Jerry Hartsell of Midland, N.C. Funeral service will be at Mill Grove United Methodist Church - Midland at 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 22, 2009 , Rev. Arval Rushing officiating.
