J. Nelms

J. Elaine Nelms, 75, of Charlotte, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2019 at her home.

Mrs. Nelms was born July 30, 1943 to the late Sherman and Alma Prevo Benner. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Linda Benner Speights.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 - 12:45 pm, Monday, April 22, 2019 at Hartsell Funeral Home, Albemarle. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm, in Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel. Burial will conclude at the Stanly Gardens of Memory at 2001 East Main St., Albemarle.

Elaine is survived by: husband, Ted Nelms; step-children, Ted Allen, Patricia Renee Nelms, Jeri Michelle Snyder, Jeremy Nelms; sister, Sylvia and husband Thomas McDuffie; nieces, Lori Clark, Gina Fesperman; nephews, Tripp McDuffie, Stuart Speights and Troy Speights.
