Jack Maske

Jack Edwards Maske, 82, of Marshville, NC, passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2011, in the Brian Center, Concord, NC. Mr. Maske was born November 25, 1928 in Anson County. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marshaleen Hinson Maske in 1996; father, Fredrick Maske; and mother, Rosa Edwards Maske. He started working at Parks Cramer Company in Charlotte when he was 19 years old and retired after 49 years of service. He loved his family and enjoyed his gardening. The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 8, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Marshville, with a 30 minute state. Rev. Lynn Maske, Rev. John R. Miller, and Rev. Gene Hopkins will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall following the burial. Survivors include daughters, Carolyn Spellenberg and husband, Arthur, of Concord, and Kim Stack of Stanfield; sons, Rev. Lynn Maske and wife Trudy, of Norwood, and Dale Maske and wife, Greta, of Monroe; sisters, Ruth Wicker of Rockingham and Bobby Ann Wright of Polkton; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
