Jackie Hallman

Jackie Smith Hallman, 65, of Mount Pleasant, passed away peacefully Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at Atrium Health Cabarrus Hospital in Concord, surrounded by her husband, daughter, son-in-law, grandchildren, and an abundance of love from family and friends.

Jackie Hallman was born January 7, 1957 in Concord, North Carolina to Jessie Eugene Smith and Mildred Ruth Smith.  She was preceded in death by her father whom she loved dearly, as well as brothers Ronnie Smith and Johnny Smith, both of whom she shared special bonds with.

Jackie graduated from Mount Pleasant High School in 1976.  She married Daniel J. Hallman her Senior year of high school.  Her and Danny made a wonderful life together in Mount Pleasant. They had their daughter, Heather in 1981.  She loved being a mother to Heather, a wife to Danny, and a second mom to Joseph and Jonathan.  Jackie worked most of her adult life on her family's farm.  One of her favorite things to do was to sit on her back porch and listen to the birds singing.  When her grandchildren were born they were the highlight of her life.  She would bend Heaven and Earth to give them the world.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Thursday, October 13, 2022 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will be on Friday at 1:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord in Concord officiated by Pastor Todd McSwain . Burial will follow at the St. Stephens Wesleyan Church at 7601 Brush Arbor Rd., Concord.

Survivors include husband, Daniel Jerome Hallman of Mount Pleasant, NC, daughter, Heather  (Mike ) Huneycutt of Norwood, NC, grandson, Michael  Huneycutt, granddaughter, Piper  Huneycutt, grandson, Stryker Huneycutt, nephew/Godson, Joseph  (Alana) Smith, nephew/Godson Jonathan (Amanda) Smith, great-niece, Sydney Gene Smith, mother, Mildred Ruth Smith, brother Timmie Smith (Debra), and sister-n-law Debbie Smith, as well as a host of special nieces and nephews, Cassey and Patrick Smith, Shelia Grant, Dean Hensley, Jessica McDonald, Tim and Chris Bergey, Alan and Suzie, and many many more, as well as friends and family who have been beyond amazing to her over her beautiful life.

Special thanks goes out to the amazing ICU 2 team at Northeast Atrium. They were amazing during Jackie's final moments of life.

Pallbearers for the funeral will be Michael and Stryker Huneycutt, Jonathan and Joseph Smith, Cassey Smith, and Bradley Culler.
