Jackie Harwood

Jackie Lee Harwood, 50 years of age, of Albemarle, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, February 24, 2016.

Mrs. Harwood was born February 11, 1966 in Parkersburg, West Virginia to the late Harold Moore and the late Harriette Cunningham.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her son, Thomas Peterson; brother, James Cunningham; and sister, Julie Wilhelm.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Friday, February 26, 2016 at Hartsell Funeral Home-Albemarle. The funeral service will be held on Saturday at 3:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel in Albemarle officiated by Rev. Ronnie Sides and Rev. Terry Thompson. Burial will follow at Stanly Gardens of Memory at 2001 East Main St., Albemarle.

Survivors include her husband, Randy Harwood of the home; daughters, Cassie Poplin of Raleigh, NC, Heather Yang of Albemarle, NC, Jessica Price (Anthony) of Tuckerton, NJ; and son, Tommy Lemon (Madison) of Brandon, MS. She has four supernatural daughters Brandi, Kimberly, and Angela Harwood all of Albemarle, and Stephanie Mills (Carrington) of Salisbury, NC. All of them together gave her 17 grandchildren who were her pride and joy as well as the light of her life. She has two sisters, Mary Harris and Betty Cross (Robert); and one brother Tom Bartlett, all of Albemarle.

She never met anyone who was a stranger. Jackie loved every person unconditionally, no matter where they came from. She lived whole-heartedly for God, her family, and friends. There has never been a more loving, caring, unselfish, and bubbly person in our lives and she will be greatly missed by all.
