Jackie Rudisill Torrence

Jackie Marie Rudisill Mullis Torrence, 67, of Charlotte, passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at Levine & Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville after a long battle with pancreatic cancer.  She is now living in Heaven with her Lord, Jesus Christ.  Proverbs 31:25-31 NIV  

Jackie was born July 23, 1956 in Greensboro, NC.  She attended Northside Christian School between 1970-1973, then graduated from West Charlotte High School in 1974.  She then attended King's College and graduated with an associate's degree in 1975.  Jackie retired after more than 43 years as an accountant.  Her last job was for Mecklenburg County Council, Boy Scouts of America.  Over the course of her life, she enjoyed bowling, and shooting pool, and she met many wonderful friends in the process.  Jackie dearly loved her family and her little "JT."    

Jackie leaves behind her loving husband of 27 years, Eli Charles Torrence of Charlotte; her loving son, Jonathan Coleman Mullis, and wife, Kerry Anne Mullis, of Lexington, SC; brother, Thomas Edward Rudisill of Charlotte; step-son, Warren Christopher Torrence; step-granddaughter, Ashley Torrence.  Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, George Edward Rudisill and Ivey Thomas Faulk Rudisill.  

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.  Jackie's Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at University Hills Baptist Church, 1500 Suther Rd, Charlotte, officiated by Rev. Bo Riley.
