James C. Ball, Sr., went to the Lord on July 2, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. He was born at Fort Thomas, Kentucky to Edgel C. Ball and Dorothy Trump Ball.
He served in the U.S. Navy, then retired from the N.C. Highway Patrol with 30 years of service and then went to work with the U.S. Marshall's Service, Court Security Officer for 6 years.
He is survived by his spouse of 45 years, Martha (Patsy) Paskewich Ball, a son, James C. Ball, Jr.; grandson, Colin P. Ball; and a brother, Joseph C. Ball (Mary). He will be sorely missed by his family, neighborhood friends, LCI Concord, and his Patrol friends.
The family would like to give their sincere thanks and love to the staff at Levine Cancer Institute, Concord and the Oncology Unit at CHS. The staff treated James like he was part of their family and he loved every one of them.
Memorial service will be at the Salisbury National Cemetery, 501 Statesville Road, Salisbury, 28144 on Friday, July 13, 10:00 a.m. Donations may be sent to the N.C. Troopers Association, Scholarship Fund, PO Box 840, Summerfield, NC 27358.
