James Bowles

Mr. James Walter "J.W." Bowles, 69, of 2312 Sundale Avenue, Concord, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis. Born on July 2, 1940 in Alexander County to Lucille Deal Bowles and the late Ted Bowles. Mr. Bowles was retired from Duke Energy. He enjoyed gardening, the outdoors, and spending time with his family. A visitation will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord on Friday, April 16, 2010 from 6 until 8 PM. A Service in Celebration of his life will be at Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, April 17, 2010 at 11 AM, with the Pastor Marvin Goodnight officiating. Burial will follow at West Concord Cemetery. Survived by his wife, Sondra, of the home; sons, Kenny Bowles and wife Rebecca of Mt. Pleasant, Kevin Bowles and wife Mikii of Taylorsville ; mother, Lucille Bowles of Kannapolis; grandchildren, Brooke Brooks, Nathan, Amber, Audrey, and Katie Bowles and Joey Loyd; great-grandchildren, Kamden, Addison, and Benton Brooks; sisters, Clara Corl and husband Tom of China Grove, Phyllis Tucker and husband Cecil of Kannapolis.
