James Brooks

James “Jim” Brady Brooks, 61, of Midland, passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2011, at Carolinas Medical Center – NorthEast in Concord. Mr. Brooks was born January 28, 1950, in Forsyth County to the late James Brady Brooks Sr. and Doris Preslar Brooks. The family will receive friends from 1 – 2 p.m., Friday, Oct. 21, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland. The memorial service will begin at 2 p.m. in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel of Midland officiated by Aubrey Haigler At other times, the family will meet at his home. Survivors include his wife, Darlene Moser Brooks of the home; his son, James B. Brooks, III of Mint Hill, Timothy James Brian of Concord, and Joshua Lee Brooks of Midland; his daughters, Angela Brooks McCann of Midland and Rachel Darlene Brooks of Rock Hill, S. C.; his mother, Doris Presslar Brooks; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Hartsell Funeral Home, Jim Brooks Account, P. O. Box 100 Midland, NC 28107.
