James Burleyson, Sr

James Lloyd Burleyson, Sr., 66, of Salisbury, passed away Friday, March 7, 2014 athome surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Burleyson was born August 2, 1947 to the late James and Bernice Burleyson. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm. The funeral service will follow in the chapel at 7:00pm. He is survived by two sons, Jimmy Burleyson of Salisbury and Timmy Burleyson of Winston Salem; four grandchildren, Brandon Burleyson, TJ Burleyson, Aaron Wilson and Amber Burleyson; five great grandchildren, Savanna, Chloe, Alexis, Talon and Alayah; and two sisters, Hazel "Johnnie" Mullis and Nancy Bostian. James was a member of the Cabarrus County Rescue Squad in the late 1960's. He was also a member of Moose Lodge and Jaycess in the 1980's.
