James Coble

James William Coble, 81, of Concord passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at his son’s home. He was born on November 22, 1929 in Cabarrus County to the late Joseph James and Georgia Elizabeth Menius Coble. He was also preceded in death by brothers Paul Edward, John Max Coble, and Joseph Alexander Coble. Mr. Coble owned and operated Coble Construction Company. He was a member of Poplar Grove Baptist Church. The family meeting place will be at the home of his son Archie Coble at 72 Park Drive, Concord. A visitation will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord on Thursday, October 20, 2011 from 6 until 8 PM. Funeral services will be held at Poplar Grove Baptist Church on Friday, October 21, 2011, at 11 AM with a 30 minute state prior to the service. Rev. Jimmy Barrett and Rev. Bobby Tallent will officiate. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary Irene Seamone Coble of the home; son, Archie Ray Coble and wife Kathy of Concord; grandchildren, Tabitha England and James Lewis Coble both of Concord; great grandchildren, Cayla Noel England and Aiden Joseph England also of Concord; sisters, Mary Elizabeth Jansson of Concord, Alice Voorheis of Concord, Annie McBride of Kannapolis and Daisy Eudy of Locust.
