James Bruce Davisson, 72 years of age, of Concord, passed away peacefully in his sleep Saturday, January 25, 2014. James was born October 24, 1941 in Illinois to the late James Bruce Davisson Sr. and the late Lois Weed Davisson . The family will receive friends Wednesday evening January 29, 2014 6:00pm - 8:00pm at Tarrymore, 61 Tarrymore Lane SW Concord, NC. Survivors include wife,Cynthia Cochran Davisson of Concord, NC, son, John Wallace Davisson of Mt. Pleasant, NC, son, James Bruce Davisson III, daughter, Tina (Steve) Kuchter, daughter, Julie (Daniel) Rieser, daughter, Rita (James) Runyard. The grandchildren Include Collin, Gavin, Kara, Carmen, Steve, Michael, John, Kristina, Rebecca, Grace, Mathew, Thomas with one great grandchild Bryce. Sister Elizabeth Reimen (Morris) of Las Vegas, Nevada. Mother of his children MaryAnn. James was a Veteran who served in the US Army Honorably, retired from AT&T and a member of IBEW-ILL. Brotherhood Electrical Workers. James was an Avid Cook and Traveler who loved to Fish. No one knows how many cooks he would of dethroned as champions at various fairs or festivals. He had entered his famous chili & ribs at festivals in Chicago Ill. competition. At first a self- taught cook, he became his family's best known Chef, mastering nearly every aspect of cooking.
