James Harrison Driggers, 60 years of age, of Monroe, passed away Thursday, November 28, 2013 at CMC - University in Charlotte. Mr. Driggers was born June 6, 1953 in Spartanburg, South Carolina to Genelle Moore Lancaster of Norwood. He served during the Vietnam War as an Army Ranger. The family will receive friends from 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm, Saturday, November 30, 2013 at the home of his sister, Licia and Neal Brandt. Funeral arrangements will be held at a later date. Survivors include his mother, Genelle Moore Lancaster and her husband, Jack, of Norwood; his son, James Driggers, Jr. of Chicago; his sister, Licia Brandt and her husband, Neal, of Monroe; and his nieces, Jessica B. Glover of Richmond Hill, Georgia and Karen B. O'Hare of Aurora, Nebraska. Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P. O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675.
