James Drye

James “Jake” Drye, age 75 of Oakboro NC. passed away on November 24, 2011 at Stanly Regional Medical Center. The family will receive friends at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Saturday 3:00 – 4:00 P.M. the funeral service will follow. The funeral service will be officiated by Dr. Wayne Bennett on Saturday November 26, 2011 at 4:00 P.M. at Pleasant Grove Cemetery. At other times the family will meet at the home. Mr. Drye was born on August 7, 1936 to the late Lonnie Titus Drye and Puah Eunica Hill Drye. He is survived by his wife of 54 years Shirley Ann Hinson Drye; sons, Scotty Drye, and wife Ruth of Zebalon, NC; Paul Drye and wife Elane of Albemarle, NC; grandchildren Cameron Drye and wife Katie, Joy Drye Lee and husband Darryl; step grandchildren Cory and Jennifer Hesley of Albemarle, and 4 great children; brother, Robert “Bob” Drye and wife Margie of Harrisburg, NC; sister, Rachel Nance and husband Clyde of Matthews, NC. Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle is serving the Drye family.
