James Gibson

James "Jim" Allen Gibson, 81, of Concord, NC passed away early Friday morning May 19, 2017 at the North Carolina Veterans Home in Salisbury, NC after a extended illness.

Mr. Gibson was born on December 28, 1935 in Buckhannon, WV to late Gerald and Goldie (Lewis) Gibson. He dedicated his life to civil service and honorably served his country in the US Air Force for 22 years and later served as US Rural Letter Carrier. A Bronze Starr recipient, Jim, will be missed by many. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend.

Jim is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Barbara (Taylor) Gibson of Concord. Four sons, John of FL. Steve, David and Jamie all of NC. One daughter, Julie Gibson of NC and a Step-daughter, Pennie Lowder also of NC. Other survivors included his 9 loving grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Memorial Services will be held at a later date in Buckhannon, WV.

Jim will missed by his loving family and close friends. May God Grant him eternal rest.
