James Gurley, Jr

James Wilson Gurley, Jr., age 65, of Concord, died Friday, July 24, 2009, at CMC-Northeast.
He was born November 29, 1943, in Cabarrus County, the son of the late James Wilson Gurley, Sr. and the late Lola Mae Fincher Montoya.
Mr. Gurley retired from Flowes Construction as a heavy equipment operator. He attended Poplar Grove Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife Judy H. Gurley; daughter, Jaime Gurley of Landis; stepdaughter, Cathy Jennings of Concord; sister, Vicky Doss of Albuquerque, NM; brother, David Raines of Nebraska; and grandson, Jeremy Gurley of Landis.
Arrangements are being handled by Hartsell Funeral Home, Concord, where the family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 PM Sunday, July 26, 2009. Funeral service will be at Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel in Concord at 2:00 PM Sunday, July 26, 2009, Rev. Jimmy Barrett officiating. Interment will be at Cabarrus Memorial Gardens in Concord. The family will be meeting at the home.
