James Hardy

James Thomas Hardy, 56, of Concord, passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2019.

Tommy was born September 7, 1963 in Concord to the late James Edward Hardy and Judy Lambert Yates.  In addition to his father, Tommy was also preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Adam Lambert and Ruby Hooks; and paternal grandparents, Jeff and Minnie Hardy.

Tommy was a loving father, devoted son and brother.  He had a really big heart, always helping children and the elderly.  Tommy was a member of Eastside Missionary Baptist Church in Concord.  He was a hard-worker and was passionate about his career when he was able to work as a plumber.  Tommy will be greatly missed and forever loved.

Survivors include daughter, Ceason Hardy of Concord; mother, Judy Yates and husband, Richard, of Kannapolis; sister, Elizabeth Hardy of Rockwell; uncle, Jerry Lambert of Kannapolis; uncle, Mark Lambert and wife, Ann, of Concord; "uncle," Arnold Lambert of Concord; aunt, Betty Bostic of Monroe; several cousins; and beloved dog, Frankenstein.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 pm - 1:45 pm, Sunday, September 22, 2019 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord.  The funeral service in celebration of Tommy's life will follow at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel, officiated by Rev. Stephen Burrow and Rev. Rex Burleson.  Burial will follow at Running Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, 24671 Millingport Rd, Locust.
