James Hargett

James Julius Hargett, 67, passed away on July 16, 2022, at his home in Mount Pleasant, NC.

He was born on January 10, 1955, to James and Dora (Fisher) Hargett in Concord, NC. James worked as a Mechanic for many years in which he thoroughly enjoyed. James was an avid fan of drag racing, and often raced his car at the racetrack in Mooresville, NC.   In his spare time, he would be found cleaning and fixing guns or enjoying time out with friends and loved ones.  He loved to spend time with his family and lived life to the fullest.  James will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.

James is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Janet; sister, Opal Valeine; brothers, Gene Hargett and David Hargett; sister-in-law, Carol Brown; and brother-in-law, Michael Hooks.

He was preceded in death by father, James Julius Hargett, mother, Dora Evelyn Hargett, and brother, Ronald Hargett.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 20, 2022, 12:00 pm - 12:45 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home, Concord, NC.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, 1:00 pm at the Hartsell Funeral Home, Concord, NC, with, Pastor Ray White officiating.

Burial will take place at The Brook Hill Cemetery in Rockwell, NC.
