James Hartsell

James Richard Hartsell, age 91, of 656 Jackson Terrace Concord, N.C., died Tuesday, July 28, 2009, at CMC-Northeast in Concord, N.C. He was a self-employed carpenter and a member of Broadus Baptist Church - Concord, NC. The family meeting place will be at the home at 656 Jackson Terrace, Concord.. He Served in the Army during World War II. Born in Cabarrus on February 16, 1918 he was the son of the late S.L. Hartsell, Sr. and the late Bessie Hinson Hartsell. He was also preceded in death by his wife Margie Inez (Austin) Hartsell, sisters Ruth Fletcher and Nell Barnhardt. He is survived by his Daughter-Alinda Tucker & husband Thomas of Concord, NC Daughter-Sue Barringer & husband Wayne of Mt. Pleasant, NC Brother-S.L. Hartsell of Myrtle Beach, SC. Six grandchildren Ten great-grandchildren. Arrangements are being handled by Hartsell Funeral Home - Concord, where the family will receive friends from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM Wednesday, July 29, 2009. Funeral service will be at Broadus Baptist Church - Concord at 11:00 AM Thursday, July 30, 2009 , Rev. Rodney Quesenberry and Rev. James Collier officiating.
