James Hatlestad

James “Jim” Sterling Hatlestad, 83, of Concord, passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at place Gordon Hospice House in Statesville. A graveside service will be held at Carolina Memorial Park on Thursday, December 22, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. Mr. Hatlestad was born on January 22, 1928, to the late Harris and Lucille McCormick Hatlestad. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Marie Spry Hatlestad and sister, Helen Doose. He is survived by a son, Phillip Hatlestad of Atlanta, GA; three daughters, Carol Thompson of Sparks, NV, Celia Carter of Wes Carina, CA and Jane Reyes of Orange County, CA; a sister, Virginia Palladino of Reseda, CA; eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Gordon Hospice House, 2341 Simonton Road, Statesville, NC 28625. Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord is serving the Hatlestad family.
