James Hodges

James Worth Hodges, 84, of Concord passed away on Sunday, February 27, 2011 at The Oaks of Carolina in Raleigh. Born on August 29, 1926 in Harnett County to the late James George and Bessie Neighbors Hodges. He was also preceded in death by his wife Martha Cook Hodges and five sisters. James retired from Eastern Airlines as maintenance foreman. He was a ham radio operator, and enjoyed flying airplanes when he was younger. He also liked to fish. A visitation will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord on Thursday, March 3, 2011 from 12:30 until 1:30 PM. Funeral services will follow at 2 PM in the chapel. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis. He is survived by: daughter, Cindy Hodges of Raleigh, NC; brother, George Robert Hodges of Raleigh, NC; sister, Ollie Williams of Dunn, NC.
