James Hooper

James Hardy Hooper, Sr. formerly from Concord, N.C., passed away on March 13, 2017 at the age of 72.
James was born in 1944 at Cabarrus Memorial Hospital to the late John Hardy and Irene Alice Meinus Hooper. He is survived by one brother, Buddy Hooper, his daughter Lisa M. Picket and husband Rick, his son James (Jamie) Hardy Hooper, Jr. and wife Sherrie Hamm Hooper. He is also survived by six grand-children and four great grand-children. He has many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by two brothers, Talmadge Lee Hooper, Johnnie Edgar Hooper and three sisters, Helen Hooper House, Sadie Talton Hooper, and Katherine Rebecca Hooper.
James loved people, telling stories and good food. He made everyone laugh and truly lived life to the fullest.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:30, Sunday, March 19 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. A graveside service will follow at 4:00 pm, Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis, NC, officiated by Rev. Tim Newton.
