James Huneycutt

James Reuben Huneycutt, age 87 of Albemarle, passed away on Tuesday, May 29, 2012, at his home. The family will receive friends at his home, on Sunday, June 3 from 1:00 PM until 6:00 PM. A graveside service will be held at the National Cemetery-Salisbury, with full military rites, at 11:00 AM on Monday, June 4, officiated by Rev. Danny Wilson. Mr. Huneycutt was born in Stanly County, on August 21, 1924. He is preceded in death by his wife, Louise Winnie Carpenter Huneycutt, in 2003; his son, James Wayne Huneycutt; and a daughter, Rebecca Ann Whitley. He is survived by his daughter-in-law, Marie Auton of Albemarle; one step daughter, Teresa Drake; four grandchildren, Christi Huneycutt, James R. Huneycutt, Jennifer Huneycutt and Kyle Speight; one great great-grandchild, Shawn Huneycutt. Mr. Huneycutt proudly served his country in the US Navy during WWll and worked as a card tender at Wiscassett Mills. Memorials may be made to Community Home Care and Hospice, 533 S.
