James Lavene, Jr

James Ellis Lavene, Jr., 63 years of age, of Midland, passed away Thursday, May 5, 2016 at Carolinas Medical Center Northeast in Concord, NC.

James was born September 1, 1952 in Mobile County, AL to the late Lilla Pluth. He was also preceded in death by his loving wife of 44 years, Joyce Lavene; and his sister Theresa Harmon. James was a national bestselling author and an amazing computer guru. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He always had a smile for everyone and tried his best to brighten everyone’s day.

The family will be having a private memorial service at their home.

Survivors include one son, Christopher Lavene; two daughters, Jennifer Chappelle and Emily Andreis; five grandchildren, Eric Chappelle, Gabrielle Andreis, Jason Andreis, Anthony Andreis and Katharine Chappelle; and 3 sisters, Rene Dickson, Rhonda Richter and Sherri Boyce.
