James Mccann

James “Jay” Carlie McCann II, age 51, of Harrisburg, passed away Saturday June 7, 2014 at his home. Mr. McCann was born January 6, 1963 to the late James Carlie McCann and surviving Mother Annie Harris McCann. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord on Branchview Drive, Wednesday, June 11, 2014 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm. An intimate funeral service will be held for family and friends at a later date, during Autumn, at the McCann Family Farm in Union Grove, NC. Mr. McCann is survived by his loving, sweet and beautiful wife of 30 years, Jeanene Phillips McCann; sons, James Carlie McCann III and Matthew Phillips McCann. Mother; Annie Harris McCann. Sisters; Denise Pelone, Diane Burris (Larry) and Lynn Guffey (Jack). He will also be deeply missed by his dogs Ollie, Uconn and Clyde. Mr. McCann had many great successes in his career including a well tenured stay working with his father for the family owned Carolina Tree Care of Concord, NC. While there he perfected his craft to grow the business into a success that still endures to this day. He was also a master of trade works with specialties in home improvement where he spent the last of his working years showered in success. After an early retirement Jay began work on the McCann Family Farm, with his family and loved ones, tending to its needs. He put so much work into this special and scenic place. It will be enjoyed by his family for generations to come. Jay will be remembered as a loving husband, devoted father, supportive brother,loyal son and caring cousin.
