James Morgan

James Walter Morgan, 75 years of age, of Harrisburg, passed away Sunday, August 6, 2017 at home with family.

Jim was born June 6, 1942 in Stanly County, North Carolina to the late Walter Lester Morgan and the late Vernie Thompson.

He retired from United Parcel Service *(UPS) after 30 years of service. Jim played the piano and organ at numerous church's around the area. He enjoyed playing golf and his love was spending time with his family.

A memorial service will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home in Harrisburg on Saturday August 12th, 2017 at 11:00 A.M.

Survivors include his loving wife of 58 years, Carolyn Moore Morgan of Harrisburg, NC, son Horace Dwayne Morgan and wife Terry Logsdon Morgan, daughter, Geteia Carpenter and husband Jimmy Carpenter, five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Cabarrus county.
