James was born December 7, 1930 in New York.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Thursday, March 9, 2017 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. Burial, with full military honors, will be held Friday, March 10 at 1:00 pm, Salisbury National Cemetery, Salisbury, NC.
