James Anthony Restiano, 69 of Locust, N.C. entered into eternal peace on Tuesday 7/16/13. James was born in New York on June 26, 1944, son of late Anthony and Lucy Restiano. He grew up in Lyndhurst, N.J. and graduated from Queen of Peace High School in North Arlington, N.J. James lived in Rutherford, N.J.,where he was a patrolman for 10 years before moving to Forked River, N.J. where he married his beautiful bride Manana in February 2000 and worked for the N.J. Turnpike Authority before retiring in 2005. James moved to Locust, N.C. in 2006 where he worked at the Locust ABC Store for 3 years and served on the Locust City Zoning and Planning Board. In his spare time James enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing games (especially Scrabble). James leaves his loving memories to be cherished by his; loving Wife, Manana Restiano; daughters Jill (William) Barnshaw, Lynda(Edward) Saverino, Magda Restiano (Jose Mata). Two grandchildren Anthony Barnshaw and Alexa Saverino. He is Survived by his sister Luanne (Charles) Ziliani and his brothers Dennis & Scott (Elaine). Also Survived by many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. James touched many lives, radiated warmth and love. He had an uncanny ability to fix things, he had a joy for life and for helping others. James was one of the most Kind-hearted people you could meet, he was also known as the "King of NJ!" among his loving family. The family will receive friends from 2 until 4 pm, Sunday, July 21st, 2013 at Hartsell Funeral Home - Midland.
