Mount Ulla James Leroy "Lee" Riley born May 2nd 1937 in Concord, NC, beloved husband, father and grandfather, went home to be with his Lord on Wednesday, May 30, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lee and Ida Marie Ledford Riley. Lee worked at Cannon Mills as a loom fixer and then was self-employed running an auto service station until his retirement. Lee was an avid hunter and fisherman who looked forward all year to the upcoming deer season and trip to the mountains with his grandson, brother and nephew. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Charmen Deason Riley, sons Jimmy Riley of Mount Ulla and Stephen Riley of Waldorf, MD, daughter Tamara Riley Hudgins and her husband Keith Hudgins of Cobbs Creek, VA. He is also survived by 2 grandchildren, Bryan Scott (Scotty) Riley of Mount Ulla and John Robert (Johnny) Hudgins of Cobbs Creek, VA. He is further survived by 4 siblings: sisters Lena Green Riley of Concord, NC, Lucy Riley of Statesville, NC; and brothers Gary Riley of Woodbridge, VA, and Ledford Riley and wife Jacki of Garrisonville,VA. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Ronnie and Glenn Riley and sisters, Phyllis Humphries and Barbara Little. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord on Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. The funeral service, officiated by Pastor Ronald Young, will be in the Hartsell Funeral Home chapel on Saturday at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.
