James Roberts

James Hughey Roberts, 81, of Stanfield, passed away June 15, 2013 at CMC Main. A graveside service will be held at Lancaster Memorial Park, 389 Memorial Park Road Lancaster, SC on Saturday, June 22, 2013 at 11 a.m. with full military honors by the US Navy. Born August 31, 1932 in Lancaster County SC, to the late Ashley Roberts and Lila Gibson Roberts. He is survived by his wife, Betty Jean Helms Roberts of the home; son, Mike Roberts and wife Tina of Locust; and daughter Kimberly Gentle and husband Chris of Stanfield; five grandchildren. He was a retired Master Chief E-9 with 28 years of service in the US Navy. Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland is serving the Roberts family.
