James (Jimmy) Richard Schroeder, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and racing enthusiast, passed away peacefully on June 21st, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was 69.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm, Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord.
Born in Appleton, Wisconsin on January 15th, 1955, to the late Earl Schroeder and the late Rita Schroeder. He was also preceded in death by Jeffery Schroeder Jimmy developed a passion for racing at a young age. His love for speed and competition led him to participate in numerous races throughout his life, where he formed lasting friendships and earned respect for his skill on the track.
Off the track, Jimmy was a devoted family man known for his kindness and generosity. He cherished spending time with his children and grandchildren, sharing stories of his racing adventures and imparting wisdom about life's challenges. Throughout his career, Jimmy achieved significant milestones in racing, demonstrating his dedication and talent in every competition he entered. His passion for motorsports inspired many and left an indelible mark on those who had the privilege of knowing him. In addition to his racing accomplishments, Jimmy will be remembered for his warm smile, his love for racing, and his unwavering support for his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Penny Schroeder, brothers, Jay (Kris) Schroeder, (Appleton, Wisconsin), Jonathan (Carrie) Schroeder, sister, Lynn (Steve) Schroeder Barfield (Clevand, OH), sister in law, Joyce Schroeder, nieces and nephews, Melanie Schroeder, Scott Schroeder, Robert Schroder, Ross Schroeder, Craig Schroeder, Cassie Curry, and Brent “boomer” Schroeder son, Jason Schroeder, daughters, Kelly Schroeder and Holly Schroeder, grandchildren of Holly Schroeder, Mercedez Alexander, DaijahLynn Alexander, Marleigh Alexander and Mailk Alexander.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his courage, his spirit of adventure, and his love for racing.
