James Tarleton
August 30, 1930 — March 11, 2016
James Edward Tarleton, 85 years of age, of Midland, passed away Friday, March 11, 2016 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.
James was born August 30, 1930 in Newnan, Georgia to the late James Leonard Tarleton and Myrtle Enterkin Tarleton. In addition to his wife of 65 years Martha, he was also preceded in death by: sons, James Kenneth Tarleton, Tony Allen Tarleton; sister, Jane Brazo; and brother, Avery Tarlton.
A memorial service officiated by Rev. Robert E. Varnadore and Rev. Jerry Ingle will be held Friday, March 18, 2016 at 5:00 PM at True Life Church of God, 588 Fussell Road, Leesburg, Georgia 31763. The burial will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery, 1907 Dawson Road, Albany, Georgia 31707.
Survivors include: daughter, Cassandra (Stuart) McFarlane of Midland; son, Bruce (Penny) Tarleton of Calhoun, MO; 11 grandchildren, James Kenneth Tarleton, Jr., Heather Tarleton, Antony Tarleton, Christopher Tarleton, Kenneth James Tarleton, Jennifer Sanchez, Jason Tarleton, Amber Tarleton, Megan Ortman, Patrick McFarlane, and Madison McFarlane; 11 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Jerrel Eller and Patricia Cardell both of Griffin, Ga, 5 brothers, Billy Tarleton of Thomaston, Ga, Ray Tarleton, Charles Tarleton, Roger Tarleton all of Griffin, GA, and Randy Tarleton of Lakeland, FL, and several nieces and nephews.
