James Whitley

James Hobert Whitley, age 81 of White Oak Manor, 716 Sipes Street, Kings Mountain, NC, 28086 formerly of Albemarle, passed away on February 28, 2010 at Kings Mountain Hospital. Born in Stanly County, NC, February 01, 1929, he was a son of the later Walter Lee Whitley and the late Jeanette Deese Whitley. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Walter Kenneth Whitley. He was employed as a heavy equipment operator and was a member of Liberty Hill Primitive Baptist Church. He is survived by a brother, Roger Whitley of Shelby; nieces; Taska Little of Oakboro, Cheryl May of W. Va., Tracy Rayne and Tammie Keplinger both of Gastonia; Tonya Beam of Shelby; nephew, Billy Smith of Albemarle;great niece, Wanda Locklear and great nephew, Stephen Locklear both of Norwood. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 6 from 9:30 to 10:30 at Hartsell Funeral Home.
