James Wood

James "Michael" Wood, 64 years of age, of Midland, passed away Saturday, June 28, 2014 at Levine & Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville.

Mr. Wood was born February 11, 1950 in Indiana to the late James Eli Wood and Betty Payton Shields .

The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home in Midland on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 from 2 until 3 pm.The memorial service will follow at 3 pm in the chapel.

Survivors include his wife, Molly Karen Wilkes Wood of Midland, NC, son; Paul Wood of Midland, NC daughter; Michelle Muniz of Charlotte, NC, grandchildren; Joshua Muniz and Nicole Sutton, five great-grandchildren, brothers; Paul Shields of Mooresville, NC, Terry Wood of Lebanon, IN, Mark Shipley of Greenwood, IN, sisters; Lisa Brown of Naples, FL, Charmin Griffin of Spencer, IN, April McConnell of Bloomington, IN, Lena Dueher of Ellettsville, IN.
