James Yarbrough

James Theodore Yarbrough, 76, of Concord, passed away on Monday, June 4, 2012, at Carolinas Medical Center - Northeast. The family will receive friends at Westford United Methodist Church, 273 Highway 49 S, Concord, 28025, on Wednesday, June 6, 2012, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. The funeral service, officiated by Reverend Jeff Rushing, will follow in the church at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at West Concord Cemetery. James was born on October 2, 1935, to the late Curtis Asbury Yarbrough and the late Annie Elizabeth Dabbs Yarbrough. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, James Timothy Yarbrough; a brother, Hugh Yarbrough; and a sister, Arvonia Deal. He is survived by his wife, Veda Elizabeth Cochran Yarbrough; a daughter, Jennifer Burris and husband, Allen, of Concord; a brother, Charles Yarbrough and wife, Dottie, of Chapel Hill; five grandchildren, Clayton Yarbrough, Elizabeth Burris, Melissa Burris, Emily Burris, Evan Burris; and one great-grandchild, Hunter Yarbrough. Memorials may be made to Westford United Methodist Church Building Fund at the address above. Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord is serving the Yarbrough family.
