James "Jim" Purick

James "Jim" Edward Purick, 58, of Concord, previously of Merrick, New York, passed away Friday, August 27, 2021.

James was born February 20, 1963 in New York to Robert J. Purick and Concetta A. Purick.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Anne Purick of Concord, NC, and his 3 daughters, Kathleen Mary (Michael Raymond) Goeller, Gabrielle Teresa (Tyler Smith) Purick, and Jillian Rose Purick. He is also survived by his grandson, Michael "Mikey" Raymond Goeller, Jr., expected grandson, Dean Edward Goeller, and future granddaughter, Avery Rose Smith.

He was preceded in death by his younger brother, Robert "Robbie" E. Purick.
Surviving siblings include, Barbara (Jimmy) Hillin, Mary (Billy) Korber, John Purick.

Jim was a loving husband to his wife of 32 years, Mary. His favorite thing was spending time with his family, especially his grandson Mikey, who was his world. He was known as "Papa Jim" to his grandchildren, Mikey and Avery. Jim also enjoyed fishing with the kids and playing pool and was a huge fan of the Jets and the Mets. He also enjoyed going out on the boat and indulging in Reese's Pieces and Reese's Cups.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm - 12:45 pm, on Friday, September 3, 2021 at St. James The Greater Catholic Church in Concord. The Funeral Mass will immediately follow at 1:00 pm, on Friday, September 3, 2021 at St. James The Greater Catholic Church in Concord, officiated by Father Glenn Parker. Burial will follow at the St. James The Greater Catholic Church Cemetery at 2323 Gold Hill Rd., Concord.
