Jamie Cress

Jamie Lynette Cress, 69, of Concord, passed away at home on Sunday, November 28, 2021.

Jamie was born June 27, 1952, in Cabarrus County to the late James David Linker and Betty Jean Meadows Linker.  She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Stephanie.

Jamie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  Her favorite person, next to family members, was Boo, who was survived by Gizmo.  Jamie particularly liked going to the mountains with her family.  One of her favorite pastimes was going on Facebook, talking to her friends about dogs.  Jamie was always concerned about keeping her family safe.  She was married to her wonderful husband, Mike, for 52 years and 8 months.

Survivors include her husband, Mike Cress, of Concord; daughter, Angela Gray, of Lexington; son, Todd Cress (Tammy), of Concord; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; sisters, Faye, Luci, Bobbie, and Jackie; and brother, Jim Bob.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm - 1:45 pm, Thursday, December 2nd, 2021, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord, followed by the service in the chapel at 2:00 pm, officiated by Rev. Mickey Howard.  Burial will follow at West Concord Cemetery, 331 Union Cemetery Rd. SW, Concord.
