Jane Stamper

Jane Stamper, 74, of Maple Street, Locust, passed away February 20, 2010, at Avante of Concord. She was born Feb. 16, 1936, in Stanly County, to Richard Lumas Hinson, Sr. and Cora Magdelene Hinson. Her father, Richard Lumas Hinson, Sr. and a daughter, Donna Stamper preceded her in death. She worked at Morton Custom Plastics in Concord and was a member of First Baptist Church of Locust. She is survived by son, Chris Stamper and wife, Janice, of Locust; granddaughter Jeanna Tidwell; great-granddaughter Alea Tidwell; great-grandson Chandler Tidwell; brothers Marvin Hinson of New London and Richard Hinson of Aquadale. Visitation will be at Hartsell Funeral Home, Midland, Sunday from 7 – 9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be Monday at 4:00 p.m. at First Baptist of Locust with Dr. Kinney Wallace officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. All other times the family will be at her home.
