Janet Hartquist Kean, 80 years of age, of Norwood, passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at Trinity Place in Albemarle.
Janet was born November 7, 1933 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to the late Virgil Thomas Hartquist and the late Mildred Ruth Kunde Hartquist. She was also preceded in death by her infant son.
The family will receive friends from 6 pm to 8 pm on Sunday, October 19, 2014 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will be on at 11 am on Monday at Our Lady of the Annunciation Catholic Church, officiated by Father Peter Fitzgibbons. The burial will follow at Stanly Gardens of Memory in Albemarle.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, Thomas Joseph Kean of the home; daughters, Terry Kean of Concord, and Ann Kean-Teed of Stallings; and granddaughter, Ashley Teed.
Memorials may be made to Stanly County YMCA, 427 North First St., Albemarle, NC 28001, and Our Lady of the Annunciation Catholic Church, 416 North Second St., Albemarle, NC 28001.
