Janet Shumaker

Janet Smith Shumaker, of Oak Grove Road, Oakboro, NC, passed away April 26, 2010, at her home. Janet was born March 16, 1956, in Stanly County. She was a patient service representative for Meridian Medical Group. Visitation will be Tuesday, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., at Hartsell Funeral Home, Midland. The funeral service will be Wednesday, 2:00 p.m., at Philadelphia Baptist Church, Stanfield with a 30 minute state, officiated by Rev. Dwight Mabry and Dr. Kinney Wallace. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Survivors include her parents, Glenn Allen and Frances Hahn Smith of Oakboro; son Trip Hall and wife, Tiffany of Monroe; daughter Rebekah Miller and husband, Jeff of Marshville; sister, Myra S. Hatley and husband, Don; and grandchildren, Quentin and Alexis Smith, Bo Miller, Dillon, Dalton and Drake Hall. Memorials may be sent to Hospice of Stanly County, 960 N.
