Janice Bright

Janice Elaine Bright, 71, of Harrisburg, passed away Monday, November 9, 2020.

Mrs. Bright was born March 13, 1949 in Virginia to the late Samuel Melton and Mary Hendrix Melton. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Samuel David Melton.

Janice was an avid Atlanta Braves fan and was known as "Momma Jan" to the community. She was a Sunday School Teacher, and loved her Lord and Savior.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 - 1:45 pm, on Friday, November 13, 2020, at Mallard Creek Baptist Church, 3001 Morehead Rd, Charlotte. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm, officiated by Rev. Jimmy Howard. Burial will conclude in the church cemetery.

Janice is survived by her husband, Dr. Tommy W. Bright; daughters, Crystal (David) Stancil, Brandy (Edwin Padgett) Bright; son, Lester Farmer (Kimberly);  grandchildren, Kamerynn Bonn, Vivian Padgett, Blayke, Brayden Stancil, Austin, Dillon, Joshua Farmer and one granddog, Chloe.
