Janice Kicklighter

Janice Marie Kicklighter, 58, of Concord, NC passed away Thursday, January 27, 2022 surrounded by family and friends.

Janice was born February 4, 1963, in Charlotte, NC to the late James Houlbrook and the late Shirley Smith Houlbrook.  She was also preceded in death by her sister, Rachel “Tooter” Houlbrook.

Janice was a ball of fire who always had fun. She never missed a chance to go to the beach and lay out in the sun. She enjoyed music & dancing. Bingo, card games and electronic yahtzee filled her free time. But above all else, Janice was a loving mother and friend to all she knew. She loved her kids and grandkids, and being with family made her the happiest.

Janice is survived by her son, William Thomas Kicklighter, Jr & wife Roseanna along with their six children Brenna, Sebastian, Lylah, Elsa, Posey & Phineas; her daughter Samantha Marie Love & husband Chris along with their four children Kevin & wife Erica & Janice’s 1st great grandchild Lennox, Skyla, Chris & Christina; and daughter Amanda Nichole Moses & husband Jacob along with their three children Brandon, Mathew & Kameron. She also leaves behind ex-husband William Thomas Kicklighter, Sr. & surviving siblings Charles Houlbrook & Terry Phillips.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Monday, January 31, 2022, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will be on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at 1:00 pm in the funeral home chapel, officiated by Pastor Chuck Overcash.
