Janice Dawn Stamper, 55 years of age, of Locust, passed away Thursday, November 10, 2016 at Carolinas HealthCare System NorthEast in Concord.
Janice was born on February 13, 1961 in Randolph County, North Carolina and grew up in Asheboro before moving to Charlotte and Locust, NC.
She was preceded in death by her father, Asheboro police Captain Boyd Steed Cagle and also her Step father, Jack Prus.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 12, 2016 in the afternoon from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Hartsell Funeral Home in Midland. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM on Saturday in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Rev. Kinney Wallace . Burial will follow at the Locust First Baptist Church Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, Chris Jeffrey Stamper of Locust, one daughter, Jeanna Marie Lamb-Tidwell of Charlotte, mother, Clarice Auman Prus of Locust, grandson, Chandler Tidwell, granddaughter, Alea Tidwell, brother, Bruce Cagle of Asheboro, sister, Teresa Symes of Asheboro; two nephews, Kevin Symes and Dustin Cagle and her two dogs Spirit and Nadia.
Janice worked at the R.H.A. Howell center. She loved her husband, daughter and grandchildren, loved and helped any animal that may have crossed her path over the years and had a love for the mountains and the beaches of North Carolina.
