Hartsell Funeral Home Midland PO Box 100 Midland, NC 28107 Janie Louise Hinson Black, 83, of Jesse Helms Nursing Center, passed away on Tuesday, November 23, 2010. She was born on November 20, 1927 in Union County to the late Elijah Wilson Hinson and the late Carrie Norris Biggers Hinson. She was a member of Crooked Creek Church and a seamstress with Cannon Mills for over 40 years. A graveside service will be held at Crooked Creek Church Cemetery, 7920 Crooked Creek Road, Monroe, on Friday, November 26, 2010 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Larry Austin officiating. A visitation will be held after the graveside. She is preceded in death by her husband, John Herbert Black; brothers, Worth, Robert, and Asher Hinson. She is survived by sons, Ernest Wilson Black and wife, Vivian, of Monroe and John Black and wife, Elaine, of Marshville; brothers, Ernest Hinson, of Mint Hill and N.B. Hinson, of Indian Trail; sisters, Rachel Thomas, of Indian Trail, Sarah Clontz, of Indian Trail, and Ersel Callaway, of Concord; sister-in-law, Willie Hinson, of Midland; 4 granfchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
